This photograph © & (M) "Lctrc-Gtr-Dde" 2008 Crowds started gathering before midday in expectation of this year's annual 'Boobs on Bikes' parade. A New Zealand adult industry 'mogul' organises this event and is quite popular every year. This year the local mayor attempted to prevent it being run but was unsuccessful. This young lady was protesting against that protest. It was all very civil and the police went largely unnoticed (as far as I could tell). If you like my photography, please give me cred! I didn't see anyone holding up a 'citation needed' sign... If you like my photography, please give me cred! The organiser of the 'Boobs on Bikes' parade is a pornographer among other things. The parade is essentially a marketing stunt for his various 'gentleman's clubs', strip clubs, magazines, and his adult expo. If you like my photography, please give me cred! This photo is Public Uploaded on Aug. 20, 2008	This photograph © & (M) "Lctrc-Gtr-Dde" 2008 Policemen told the crowds to stick to the pavement (sidewalk for you yanks out there) and I didn't see any incidents of any kind myself, involving either the protesters or the bare breasted ladies that followed. I understand though that there were a few 'drunken jeers' directed at the protesters, and also drinks containers, which I find sad and embarrassing. If you like my photography, please give me cred! I overheard one bloke tell his pommie mate that this was one of our 'cultural events'. Well I suppose it is, although perhaps it would be nicer if it was boobs for boobs' sake as opposed to boobs for porn's sake. If you like my photography, please give me cred!
