Want to see how fast the weather can change in Texas? This was taken about noon. No, I don't live here. Yes, that is a llama in the background.

Three hours later, just down the street. All I did to the dust pictures was a apply a light unsharp mask. Amazingly, the camera CCD picked up the colors correctly. (I was under an overhang out of the dust.)

Red Chiles |
Down the street from my house. The wind was really whipping around the lights. And yes, the red lights did look kind of funny. I think half of west Texas got dumped on us today.
This is the last photo in the series. Thanks for viewing!

A fruit tree in the back yard.
Last year on this date we had blossoms. We've had a warm winter up until the last month or so, and I suppose that kept the blossoms from growing. Probably a good thing as we had a very hard freeze last night. We're in for a few warm days, so I expect to see some changes in the buds.

Spider Plant Blooms |
Midnight in sun and shadow |
Abby in sun and shadow |
It's an absolutely lousy day today. We need the rain, but between the damp and my lungs I just couldn't go outdoors to shoot. What's a girl to do? I moved this plant near the patio door, set up a tripod, slapped a couple of macro filters on the camera, and snapped away. This was the best of a LOT of shots. I'm not entirely happy with it, but at least I was able to experiment a little today in spite of the weather.
