"Close-up" of the gold fleck granite. It's actually considerably darker than it appears in this photo. This same granite will be used in the bedroom bathrooms, and the computer nook. It would also be used for the wet bar in the second bedroom, but we've asked for that to be deleted from the build.

"Close-up" of the wood laminate. As in the photo of the granite countertop, this looks a bit lighter than the actual thing. This is the Brazilian teak, which is not as light as the other choice, Natural teak.

"Close-up" of the Italian tile in the kitchen. I was having problems getting the colour/lightning/flash to all cooperate for "accurate" pictures.

Looking from the entrance to the main living area toward the front door. You can see the security system monitor mounted on the wall there. No peep hole in the door because the camera will look out into the hall.
